Guided by founder Misha Todirascu's playful irreverence toward conventional floristry, Studio Linné is redefining floral design. Known for her dramatic arrangements that blend flamboyance with Gothic influences, Misha reimagines the traditions of floristry in the most beautiful ways. Together with her team, she creates large-scale installations and botanical sculptures for events and photoshoots, as well as vibrant, candy-colored bouquets that look like they’re straight out of a fantasy world.
When asked how she discovered flowers as her form of creative expression, she explained: "I always felt like flowers chose me because when I started working with them, it was during a time in my life when I needed answers. Shortly after, I began this warm and fuzzy adventure called Studio Linné.”
For i-D, I visited Misha and her partner - both in business and in life - Jon, along with photographer Nina Raasch, at their newly opened shop in Kreuzberg, where we chatted about all things flowers.
Jon told me: "Before I met Misha, I never noticed flowers. Now I see them everywhere. I want Linné to be a place where all kinds of people can discover flowers and attach memories to them."
