"I grew up in the south of Germany, and especially as a teenager, it had a huge impact on my life that I was raised in a predominantly white society - without a community that shared my background. My grandparents are from China, and my parents, like me, were born in Indonesia, but during my youth, there was no one around me with a similar story, which often felt very isolating."
To explore her identity, photographer Prissilya Junewin traveled through East Asia for several months. Together, we developed a series with creatives in Seoul, whom she photographed and spoke with about their lives in South Korea.
